BetterPPT vs 24Slides: When Is an AI Design Agent Enough, and When Do You Need a Human Team?

Published Nov 2, 2026

24Slides is a platform of human designers who redesign your slides for a price per slide (listed from $11 to $66 a slide depending on treatment and deadline); BetterPPT is an AI design agent that redesigns every slide of your deck for $39 (up to 30 slides) or $59 (31–50) in about 15–20 minutes. The agent is built from the methods of a designer with ten years of experience, so it applies the same rules to your deck that she applies to client decks: one focal point per slide, a clear hierarchy, real imagery, one structural colour. For a finished business deck where the content is final, that is often enough, at a few percent of the cost and in minutes instead of days. When the work is a new story, custom illustration, animation, or a person to talk it through with, a human team is still the better choice.

    What each one actually is

24Slides is a service where human designers work on your slides and you order by the slide, choosing a treatment (a light fix-up, a redesign, or a full redraw) and a deadline. BetterPPT is a software agent: you upload the .pptx, choose how much the wording may change, and it redesigns every slide individually and returns an editable .pptx. The agent is not a person and we don't present it as one. What a person contributes is the method: it is built on the rules and ten years of experience of our designer, Diana, whose portfolio runs to more than a thousand finished works, and it follows those rules on every slide. After you buy, you can also email us within 7 days for free revisions.

The cost, for a 30-slide deck

24Slides' pricing page and help centre list per-slide prices by treatment and turnaround (checked 23 October 2026 on the pricing page, and again through search on 2 November): a fix-up is $11 per slide in 72 hours, $13 in 48 hours and $16 in 24 hours; a redesign is $28, $35 and $43; a full redraw is $44, $54 and $66. Its Pro plan lists lower per-slide prices for $99 a month. For 30 slides that is about $330 to $480 for a fix-up, $840 to $1,290 for a redesign, and $1,320 to $1,980 for a redraw. BetterPPT is $39 for up to 30 slides and $59 for 31 to 50, so a 30-slide redesign costs about 3 to 5 percent of 24Slides' redesign price. Check 24slides.com/pricing for current figures.

    The speed

24Slides lists 24, 48 and 72-hour turnarounds by price tier. BetterPPT processes a 30-slide deck in about 15 to 20 minutes, and a $9.90 deposit shows you up to six of your own slides first. If a meeting is tonight or tomorrow morning, the difference is whether you can start the review now or tomorrow.

Where an AI agent built on a designer's method is enough

When the story and the numbers are final and the problem is how the deck looks: a client proposal, a board update, a tender, a pitch to investors, a conference talk. The agent redesigns each slide from its own content, with a different layout for a number, a comparison or a photo, and keeps your logo, footer and brand colours if you say so on the setup page. The result is judged on your own deck, not on a portfolio: the deposit preview shows it before you pay the rest. We have published a same-deck comparison against other AI tools; we have not published a head-to-head against a human team, so judge on your own slides rather than on a percentage.

When 24Slides, or any human team, is the better choice

Pick a person when you need the story written or restructured, custom illustration, animation or video, a brand template built from scratch, charts rebuilt as native editable charts (BetterPPT keeps charts and tables as part of the slide design, with the text editable), a deck of more than 50 slides, or someone to talk it through with over several rounds. If a client's PowerPoint template must be followed placeholder by placeholder, a human service that works inside your uploaded template is also the safer route. Confirm any turnaround in writing before you pay.

    Using both

A practical split: run the whole deck through BetterPPT first for $39 or $59, then pay a human team only for the few slides that need hand work, such as the cover, a hero diagram or a custom illustration. That is a cost of about $39 plus a handful of slides at $28 to $43 each, instead of $840 to $1,290 for all thirty.

    Confidential decks

We can sign an NDA on request: email support@betterppt.com before you upload. An NDA binds BetterPPT; slide content is still processed by external AI models, whose retention terms are their own, so for highly sensitive material upload a sanitised copy. If your policy forbids any external AI service, use a human team that works under your NDA.

Who BetterPPT is for — and who it isn't

BetterPPT is an AI design agent that redesigns PowerPoint decks you've already written — every slide individually — and returns an editable .pptx. It is built for business decks where a lot is riding on the result, and where you already have the content. It isn't for a class assignment or a routine team update, where PowerPoint's own Designer or Canva's free plan is enough, and it isn't for a deck of more than 50 slides.

Questions

Is BetterPPT as good as a human designer at 24Slides?

For redesigning a finished business deck, BetterPPT applies the rules of a designer with ten years of experience to every slide, in minutes. It is not a person: for a new story, custom illustration, animation or native chart rebuilds, a human team is better. Judge on your own deck: a $9.90 deposit shows up to six redesigned slides before you pay the rest.

How much cheaper is BetterPPT than 24Slides?

24Slides lists a redesign at $28 to $43 per slide depending on the deadline (checked 23 October and 2 November 2026), so about $840 to $1,290 for 30 slides. BetterPPT is $39 for up to 30 slides and $59 for 31–50, once.

Is BetterPPT faster than 24Slides?

24Slides lists 24, 48 and 72-hour turnarounds. BetterPPT processes about 30 slides in 15–20 minutes.

Can I use BetterPPT first and 24Slides for a few slides?

Yes. Redesign the whole deck with BetterPPT, then order a human team only for the slides that need hand work. You get an editable .pptx either way.

Does BetterPPT replace a presentation design agency?

For a finished deck whose content is final, often yes. It doesn't replace an agency when you need the story built, custom artwork, animation, a brand template made for you, or a person to talk to.

Bottom line

If your content is final and you need the deck to look designed, BetterPPT applies a designer's method to every slide in minutes: $39 for up to 30 slides and $59 for 31–50, with a $9.90 deposit to see up to six of your own slides first.
